There are a nice variety of mobile apps designed specifically for pets. Many apps complement an existing pet product or service – e.g, Petcube’s app allows you to view your pet camera video from your phone, Rover’s app allows you to find a dog sitter from your phone, etc. The apps listed below, however, are tools designed primarily to be used on your smart phone and are not just an add on to another service.

PetDesk is an app that connects vet clinics with their customers. Users can also add groomers, boarders and other pet providers to the app. You can request appointments and send messages to your vet or other pet service providers after you have entered them into the app.

The Pawprint app allows you to access your pet’s medical records, so that they can be used as proof of vaccination with groomers, kennels, hotels, etc. The app also allows you to track pet information and set reminders. The app company performs the actual outreach to your vet to obtain the medical records and then places a digital copy onto your app.
