Vetted Petcare, a Los Angeles-based pet health company shut down last week.

The company provided veterinarians for in-home care and also delivered video triage,

Vetted had received $3.3 million in seed funding in 2017.  After receiving the money, the company purchased VetPronto.

In a message on its website, the company stated that while they believe they made a real difference to their clients and their pets, the “challenges of successfully scaling a startup in our industry are staggering.” As such, the company believed their business model was no longer sustainable.
